Avery Franzen

MD-PhD Student


Avery Franzen is an MD-PhD student studying animal behavior and cellular neuroscience.

Avery developed his research interests after participating in protein biology and drug development projects at Bemidji State University where he received Biology and Chemistry degrees in 2017. Following this, he entered the MD/PhD program and joined the Sathyanesan Lab. Avery's current research focus is animal behavior and cellular neuroscience, specifically relating to non-hematopoietic erythropoietin derivatives.
